Stock Price Index
A stock index is a statistical measure that reflects the overall price movement of a group of stocks that are selected based on certain criteria and methodologies and are evaluated periodically. The purpose/benefits of a stock index include
- Measuring market sentiment,
- Switch to passive investment products such as Index Mutual Funds and Index ETFs and derivative products,
- Benchmarks for active portfolios,
- Proxies in measuring and modeling return on investment (return), systematic risk, and risk-adjusted performance, too
- Proxies for asset classes on asset allocation.

- Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG)
An index that measures the price performance of all shares listed on the Main Board and Development Board of the Indonesia Stock Exchange. - IDX80
An index that measures the price performance of 80 stocks that have high liquidity and large market capitalization and are supported by good company fundamentals. - LQ45
An index that measures the price performance of 45 stocks that have high liquidity and large market capitalization and are supported by good company fundamentals. - IDX30
An index that measures the price performance of 30 stocks that have high liquidity and large market capitalization and are supported by good company fundamentals. - BEI30 quality
An index that measures the price performance of 30 stocks which historically have relatively high profitability, good solvency, and stable profit growth with transaction liquidity and good financial performance.
